Rapport and ComXo call on organisations to celebrate their telephonists!

Rapport and ComXo are calling on organisations and individuals to engage with their employees and colleagues, taking the opportunity to recognise the work of telephonists and shining a light on these team members who sometimes go unnoticed.

This year’s celebration will be the 10th National Telephonists’ Day, marking the 147th anniversary of the first ever telephone call made by Alexander Graham Bell on the 10th March 1876.

The day is the anniversary of the very first phone call ever and a brilliant opportunity to recognise all call service teams and operatives for the fantastic work that they do daily. I am incredibly proud of the flexibility and professionalism of our switchboard and call services teams, who consistently rise to the challenge of this fast-changing industry.

I know that there are many industries across the UK who have relied on their Telephonists to do the same and National Telephonists’ Day is a great opportunity to shine a spotlight on their important work and achievements”.
