Rapport and ComXo call on organisations to celebrate their telephonists!

Rapport Guest Services is once again teaming up with ComXo, the professional service sector switchboard specialist, and calling on all businesses across the country to recognise and thank their telephonists on  National Telephonists’ Day, which this year will be celebrated on Thursday 10th March 2022.

This year’s celebration will be the ninth National Telephonists’ Day and marks the anniversary of the first ever telephone call made by Sir Alexander Graham Bell in 1876.

National Telephonists’ Day was launched in 2014 and each year Rapport and ComXo encourage companies to engage with their employees and colleagues and to shine a light on these important individuals who often go unnoticed but who are an integral part of the team and an organisation’s guest experience.

Throughout the last tumultuous 24 months, telephonists around the country have shown their resilience and adaptability, and have continued to work remotely to connect teams, clients and customers alike.

This year it is even more important to appreciate and show gratitude. Now that restrictions have ended, many telephonists are looking forward to being able to celebrate NTD together and in person once again by taking part in a range of activities which are open to everyone via the dedicated website, www.nationaltelephonistsday.com. Initiatives include two fantastic competitions with great prizes to be won, such as the ‘Extraordinary Story’ competition to celebrate someone else that deserves to be acknowledged, and a novelty themed ‘Create a Mascot for NTD’, a fun and creative designing activity.

Throughout the pandemic our telephonists manned the phones around the clock for many of our country’s most important companies and institutions, enabling them to continue to function whilst their employees worked from home.  National Telephonists’ Day celebrates their dedication, expertise and the vital service they provide.”
